Coach Primе doеsn’t sее himsеlf anywhеrе еlsе but Bouldеr. With a dеsirе to rеtirе within thе CU football program, the Buffaloes head coach prеviously statеd, “I got a good tеn in mе. I’vе got a good tеn strong in mе.” But still, there are skеptics who are doubtful of Coach Prime’s loyalty. Fuеling this skеpticism is a rеcеnt statеmеnt by Stеvе Rivеra of Thе Wright Way Nеtwork, who firmly bеliеvеs that Coach Primе might considеr a movе to FSU aftеr this yеar, potеntially making things awkward for formеr CU CB Cormani McClain.

However, despite the rumors surrounding Coach Prime’s potential Florida move, his faithful Uncle Neely is not ready to buy it. Nееly bеliеvеs that Dеion Sandеrs has shown no sign of switching programs. His promise to stay at CU for the “nеxt dеcadе” is еxpеctеd, at the very least.

On the May 21st episode of The Pregame Show, when asked if he sees Deion Sanders at CU for the next ten years, Neely replied, “I see Deion Sanders doing what Deion Sanders wants to do… you got Coach Prime in Colorado and you got Deion Sanders in Colorado, I don’t think either one of those entities is itching to leave Colorado. He is happy there. He loves the community, he loves the energy, he wants to bring a national championship back to that community. Certainly, a bowl game appearance this year is the goal.”

Addressing the speculations and questions regarding the strength of Deion Sanders’ commitment to Colorado, Neely shared his fiery response to the rumors, saying, “When people see success and they know there are gonna be suitors, people coming after you, I think the success that Coach Prime is gonna have in Colorado, that phone is gonna ring, but they’re gonna have to have their pencils sharp because he is happy where he is… he’s gonna be here another 10 years, don’t put it past him.” Neely’s confident statements provide reassurance to Buffaloes fans and underscore Deion Sanders’ dedication to CU, suggesting a bright future for the program under his leadership. Moreover, Deion Sanders himself repeatedly expressed his deepest desire to retire in Boulder, despite the fact that his sons are leaving next year.

Deion Sanders’ deepest desire as a CFB head coach

Back in March, there were rumors that Deion Sanders’ sons Shedeur, Bucky, and Shilo were buying him a mansion near the Colorado campus. Coach Prime clarified that they didn’t purchase the mansion. However, the gesture reflected their thoughtful consideration of his future at CU while they moved on to the pro league. “My three sons had the thought process that they wanted me to see this just so you’ll make sure I’m straight when they’re gone. That’s unbelievable,” Sanders said. “It almost provokes a tear. My three sons want to do this for me, wow. This is awesome.”

In addition to this touching moment, Sanders has often cited his steadfast commitment during his playing career to illustrate his loyalty as a person. “I don’t look for stepping stones,” Sanders emphasized, adding, “I am not like that. I never wanted to leave Atlanta[Falcons]. The Falcons made me a free agent. I never wanted to leave for San Francisco[49ers]. They made me a free agent. I never said, ‘I am out.’ Never, in anything I’ve ever done pretty much. It’s always been like encouragement that’s pushed me out or something that’s done that doesn’t allow me to stay. But trust me, I’ve never… I am not built like that.”

Therefore, let’s hope that if the honeymoon phase ends in Boulder, Colorado football won’t become a bond he feels compelled to leave.
