The PDA game is going strong! R&B rapper Jacquees has been lucky enough to find his biggest fan, and it’s none other than his girlfriend, Deiondra Sanders. The soon-to-be mommy is mostly restricted to her home these days because of her difficult pregnancy. But how could she just miss her sweetheart’s performance?

As Jacquees set the Caesars Superdome stage on fire as a part of the 30th ESSENCE Festival, Deiondra recorded his mesmerizing act on her phone as a memory and shared it on her Instagram story with a lovey-dovey caption. She seemed part of the star-studded audience earlier graced by Rihanna and Beyoncé.

Dressed in all things bling, a leather jacket, bucket hat, and a chunky silver chain, Jacquees, as captured on the big screen, left the fans mesmerized with his performance. But as long as Deiondra is concerned, her beau can charm her with the drop of his hat. Jacquees became the captain of charisma as he hit the stage for the 2024 ESSENCE Festival of Culture, which returned to New Orleans for a special 30th-anniversary celebration. And, of course, Deiondra had to grab the front-row seat. Posting a short clip on Instagram, Jacquees’ lady love dropped in a mushy caption, “Mine (playful emoji).”

Deion Sanders’ daughter has enough reasons to be proud of her sweetheart. The 30-year-old musician has been making music for almost two decades. As he released an independently distributed project, 19, Jacquees hardly considered making it to No. 15 in the US Billboard Top R&B Albums. With five EPs, three albums, and a slew of singles under his belt, Deiondra’s lover has been the perfect voice for the ESSENCE Festival stage. Not just the present success, Deion’s daughter soaked in pride at how Jacquees kept his fan club alive.

Deiondra’s recognition of Jacquees’ talents continues

On June 28, Jacquees dropped a post on Instagram. The R&B star was spotted proudly holding onto two plaques. The caption of the post read, “THANK YALL! MOOD 2 OTW.” But it was not any recent victory. The two album covers displayed the names of Jacquees’ old albums, FEEL IT and Come Thru. But what was there to post about?

It later emerged that these two old creations of the star seem to have overpassed the craze surrounding his latest album Make You Forget, which dropped in June. Deiondra has been Jacquees’ hype squad since Day One and was one of the first ones to drop her supportive remark, “Well deserved!! Proud of you.” She stood firm on Jacquees’ side when the BET (Black Entertainment Television) Awards struck off the rapper from the nomination list.

Deiondra took up the role of her beau’s spokesperson and vented her frustration on X, writing, “That didn’t make sense #BETAwards. The women sound good but why did they chose all women to honor Usher?” But the storm clouds have cleared for Deiondra as she now has enough reasons to bask in Jacquees’ glory.
