Cormani McClain is too busy to put his ears to the hoopla that surrounds him. Why wouldn’t he? At last, he got the clarity that he needed. The Florida Gators’ HC Billy Napier dismissed all the rumors of his fallout. And guess what McClain did next? He enjoyed some me-time trying his hands playing the most-talked-about game, EA CFB 25. But wait, wait, wait…! There is more to this story. As he took to Instagram to share every detail about his match, he was seen playing with Georgia Bulldogs. Is he pinning some hopes on his high CFB 25 rating translating to real life by switching teams?

Right from the transfer portal, McClain has found himself tangled in a mess. From not syncing up with Deion Sanders and Colorado’s wavelength to getting red-marked by the programs that tiptoed away without signing him, it has been a rough ride for him. Even after landing in Florida, there had been not a split second of peace for the poor guy who was allegedly on the verge of losing his job for his laid-back attitude. But on July 14, Napier gave thumbs up saying, “[McClain] is doing fine.” But again McClain being McClain, he was waiting to make another bold decision.

He hit the virtual grounds playing not for the Gators but with the Georgia Bulldogs. The opponent teams ranged from Texas Longhorns, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Florida State Seminoles. Posted on July 20, on the first story, McClain could not help but brag about his skills. Posting a snap of the screen that showed Florida State at 46 and Georgia at 91, he tagged Seminoles’ DB Omarion Cooper and wrote, “I been doin bad I jus ain’t been posting.”

McClain and the Bulldogs went on a victory lap over restricting Crimson Tide at 1 while the Bulldogs aced 20. At last, he brought his friend from Colorado, Omarion Miller, and tagged him while brag walking his 50 points against the Longhorns. The caption of the story said it all, “50 p mic nugg.” But why Georgia?

Mystery thickens as McClain plays with Georgia instead of his own program

After days, the Florida fans could let out a sigh of relief after HC Napier confirmed McClain staying in the Gators hood. Then why did the CB not play for his own team in the EA Sports CFB 25? While is yet to be known what propelled him to opt out even after getting the clarity, something or the other must be cooking in his mind.

On July 15, Florida released their player ranking for the EA Sports CFB 25. And no brownie points for guessing. The CB did not get the top spot in the list, instead ended up with a ranking of 82 overall. Does this mean McClain’s second chances are getting heavy on him?

McClain’s journey to Gainesville is a story of unfulfilled promise. His freshman year at Colorado did not go as planned. While he might have expected to hit the rebound button by becoming one of the top players in the Gators’ roster for EA Sports CFB 25, 82 is not bad after all. McClain owns all the tools to transform his potential into performance, but only when he feels at home in Florida. Time to wait and watch his next move!
