Taking up the responsibility of a vocal advocate for mental health awareness, the quarterback has teamed up with the Seize the Awkward campaign. Sharing his personal experience with the public, he took fans on a trip across his endeavor beyond sports, called, “Caleb Cares.”

Caleb Williams’ candid advice for the youth 

Caleb Williams lent his voice to a student-produced PSA that has seized the collaborative efforts Ad Council along with the Jed Foundation, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the Caleb Cares Foundation, and the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.

Making use of this platform, Williams subtly hinted at his bullying experience in a monologue, “When the stadium lights are dimmed when the cameras stop flashing when the pads are off, the pressure sinks in and it’s just me. Just me in a world of expectation. Nobody can carry that alone.”

Making a notable cameo in the video, the quarterback ensured to deliver a poignant message that echoes the sentiments of many young individuals struggling with mental health while battling the weight of expectations.

He left a piece of advice for them, “Pressure doesn’t have to be carried alone. What if we came together as a team, embraced talking openly about our mental health.” His passion for addressing bullying among youth and propagating mental health awareness started with a project close to his heart “Caleb Cares” which has now extended to greater heights.  

Empowering stand taken by Caleb Williams 

Previously, in a podcast “Almost Pro: USC Football,” Williams had opened up about his passion project aimed at combatting bullying. Recognizing the high prevalence of bullying among the youth in the age of social media, he validated the problem by acknowledging the struggles he faced with bullying.
