Bringing the 2000 kids’ childhood back! On Thursday, EA Sports made a big announcement that brought waves of nostalgia. Per the announcement by the video game giant, all 134 CFB teams would be a part of the much-awaited EA Sports College Football 25. The players would get a chance to either opt in or hold out. Hence, over the next few days, announcements from the top college football stars are expected to make headlines.

Opting in for the game would surely come with its special benefits, especially for the Colorado Buffs players. Travis Hunter is one of the earliest players from Colorado to reap the $600, an amount that EA Sports decided on giving to each of the 11,000 players, and the free version of EA Sports College Football 25 when it would be released in spring 25. The two-way star announced via social media, captioning that he too is “in the game.” Well, the fans were instantly all about the two-way star’s gift to handle the ball from both sides. “You better be able to play both sides in the game,” commented a user on Instagram.

How the fans reacted to Travis Hunter’s announcement

“The only reason I’m playing as a Colorado is for Shedeur and Travis,” commented a user, hyping the Buffs team members to opt in. Now that his receiver duo has made his opting-in official, fans would await an identical response from Shedeur Sanders as well.

AJ Greene displayed enthusiasm with his words, saying, “Yeah we finna get on the sticks in Boulder. Mark your calendar.” While the official dates for the release of the game are yet to be made, it is expected to be released this summer. SI reported that the dates may have been leaked for the highly-awaited game, as David Hookstead of Outkick learned that the game has “a release date scheduled for July 2024.”
