It’s time for an in-depth analysis of the Shedeur Sanders and Gavin Kuld drama that transpired on May 17. The former backup QB of the Colorado Buffaloes walked on the same path as other transfers who have hit the portal this year, like Cormani McClain and Xavier Smith. However, instead of only pulling Deion Sanders into the dirt, Kuld chose to take it upon Shedeur.

Even though Kuld’s interview got deleted, it did reach a large audience. Colorado alum Matt McChesney, on The Coach JB Show with Big Smittytook a stand for Shedeur and advocated for Coach Prime’s son’s hurt feelings.

McChesney addresses Shedeur’s emotional turmoil

Right after Kuld enrolled himself in the transfer portal, he chose to sit for an interview for MagDog TV. During that interview, instead of showing his gratitude, he decided to land an attack on the Colorado Buffaloes program. Kuld’s attack on Shedeur’s NIL rankings and lavish lifestyle did not go well with the quarterback. Shedeur immediately reacted to the ex-backup QB as his tweet read, “I learned sometimes you have to take the high road. @GKuld  I’ll spare you only this 1 time. On this note, McChesney could feel the emotional turmoil that Shedeur has been going through. Hence, on the YouTube show, he claimed, “I think that it sounds to me like his feelings are really hurt. If I was Shedeur, I wouldn’t even be giving it any…any kind of f*cking attention whatsoever um just because it’s beneath him.”

According to his analysis, this is happening because Coach Prime and his son are channeling their focus on things they should not. “I’m not saying it’s getting to them but I’m saying they do see and pay attention to everything …all the negativity on social media,” asserted the 6-year NFL vet. Meanwhile, Shedeur is all pumped up to take no-nonsense from Kuld and joins hands with another teammate.

Shedeur-Mayers stands strong to tackle negative narratives

Shedeur and Justin Mayers are trying to safeguard the honor of their second home. They have thoroughly condemned transfers’ ritual of giving news bites and stripping their former programs publicly. A profoundly frustrated Shedeur could no longer hold his emotions back and tweeted immediately after Kuld’s exit, “Y’all just interview anyone that leave from Colorado just to get a negative look on the program.

Mayers, too, joined him on the mission to bring out the truth that transpires behind the scenes. Following Shedeur’s tweet, the OL called for an open contest, “To all those media (YouTube) channels. Let’s do a real interview, unhinged abt the truth . 50/50.” Like the quarterback, Mayers refuses to let go of the negative talkers as he claimed, “I think it’s really time to stop sparing these people . They thriving off hate . That’s crazy to me. The real always prevails, stay blessed!”

Meanwhile, even though Kuld on X refused to take accountability for his statement, as found on the recorded interview clip, he did talk about Shedeur giving him a cold shoulder. Despite all these blame games, McChesney advises the Boulder program to avoid negativity.
