Given Deion Sanders’ success as a college football coach, after the Colorado Buffaloes, fans want to see him in the NFL. However, Coach Prime recently dropped a bomb, revealing his choice not to enter the NFL.

I love Boulder, Colorado.”   

Back at Jackson State, Sanders used to get an annual base salary of $300,000, which jumped to an astonishing $5.5 million. Besides the financial success, the coach focused on the recognition and respect he received as the Buffaloes coach for a short period of time.

Sanders’ affection for college football goes back to his genuine love for coaching young athletes who are part of the Buffaloes roster. Coach Prime guided them through their athletic and academic journey, saying, “I love the kids that I get to coach. I love the recruiting process. I love it. The sensitivities and I like all it.” 

As far as recruiting is concerned, Colorado has not conducted any off-campus recruiting visits this season, breaking away from tradition in college sports. Even after following a “no-visit” recruiting technique, the Buffaloes secured the commitment from 24 players for the 2024 season. 

Deion Sanders’ fondness for amateurish talents

Finally, for Deion Sanders, being in the mentorship role in college football enables him to coach amateur talents, having a deep-seated passion for the sport. He claimed, “The amateurism of it. Even though it’s turning to pros because everybody wants a bag now. But I would have a hard time in a locker room with a guy that’s making a multitude of millions and he don’t want to play and don’t want to give this all. I would have a problem with that Chad.”
