Several have accused Deion Sanders of being too involved in his kids’ lives. He had one statement for them.“I’m a father, not a baby daddy,” Sanders stated bluntly, taking great pride in being involved in his kids’ lives. Deion Sanders admitted that he loves building a plan, a foundation for his kids to work on, in his latest press conference amidst the allegations of him coddling them.

“I don’t follow my kids, I build roads for my kids. I build generational wealth for my kids. I lead my kids. So I do not plan on following my kids to the NFL,” he added in his press conference. With this, Prime made his plans to stay at CU clear. This would mean that the next QB prodigy at CU would also be trained under Deion Sanders’ expertise once Shedeur Sanders and Co. leave for the NFL.

The question was raised after Deion Sanders got in the talks of leaving for the NFL once his sons left for the NFL too. Reggie Bush, the NFL icon who is set to receive his forfeited Heisman Trophy back this off-season, had also chipped in his bit in predicting Prime leaving for Colorado. “Once his sons are gone, because I think what he’s doing with his sons is history. When’s the last time we’ve seen a head coach and the son is the star quarterback of the team? The script is writing itself,” Bush said, passing a bold prediction on Sanders’s future.

However, the statement from Sanders about staying committed to Colorado was enough to shut down all doors for further allegations. Prime’s stalwartness toward Colorado is quintessential in CFB. He proved it yet again during the Spring games with his team bursting with renewed zeal.

Deion Sanders revolutionized CU and the Spring games

After looking at the Cu team in their Spring game, one thing is clear: this team is determined to change the previous season’s losing narrative. With the commendable additions that the Buffs have made in their roster through the transfer portal, their offensive line looked pretty bolstered up with Tyler Brown, Hank Zlinskas, Khalil Benson, and of course Jordan Seaton. The O-line only allowed one sack in their spring games.

Along with the team, Sanders also turned the Spring games into a festival, with several statement activities planned, setting a new wave of Spring game expectations in the CFB. While he has done all of this, the real challenge would be hiring a replacement of Shedeur Sanders, the Buffs starting QB, as well as replacements of important players like Travis Hunter when they leave for the 2025 NFL draft.
