Deion Sanders never falls short of appreciating those he holds in high regard, be it his team players or his past connections. Now is the time for Coach Prime to appreciate the incomparable impact of none other than the legendary NBA star Magic Johnson. As the Colorado Buffaloes take part in a grinding training session for their upcoming session, Coach Prime spared some time off his mentoring duties to pay homage to Johnson, who holds a small share in Washington Commanders.

As Deion Sanders shared, the defining moments in the bond that he shared with Johnson were created right in the heart of Atlanta. The Buffaloes’ head coach could not contain his emotion and while expressing his fondness for Johnson endearingly stated, “I love you and he’s a great human being, no doubt, Magic, we love you man.”  

Calling the former NBA player, a true legend, Sanders paid a heartwarming tribute stating, “Shout out to most coaches, want to say that but I keep him on 100 all time. Shout out to my man, Magic. Magic is a legend.” Coach Prime’s acknowledgment of Magic’s greatness transcends the realm of sports. The legend’s unparalleled skills on the basketball court coupled with his charismatic personality have made him an enduring figure in the world of entertainment that allowed Sanders to come up with a proposal for Johnson.

Sanders’ salute to Magic’s humanity

The 64-year-old had retired long back in 1996 after one of the most iconic careers in NBA history and made $40million. Last year, Johnson made his entry into the billionaires club as declared by Forbes. This made him the fourth athlete to acquire this position followed by NBA players Michael Jordan and LeBron James along with golfer Tiger Woods.

The Los Angeles Lakers legend has been a constant support for Deion Sanders. As the coach propelled the Buffaloes to take down Texas Christain University, Johnson had been a proud presence at the Amon G. Carter Stadium. The five-time champion congratulated Coach Prime on his debut win with the Buffaloes and even left a motivating remark for his quarterback son, Shedeur Sanders. Now it is the time for the Buffaloes Coach to express his gratitude for the NBA legend and Sanders appreciated Johnson’s efforts in taking care of him.

Beyond the accolades for his athletic prowess, while calling for a tribute to Johnson, Sanders also has a good suggestion for the legend. The Buffaloes head coach wants him to be featured in both a TV show and a movie to keep his legacy living forever and his legendary story to touch multiple lives.
