It was since his days as a QB coach at San Diego that Harbaugh grew fond of the pants, thanks to his assistant Dave Adolph. There has been no turning back since then for Jim Harbaugh as he developed an irresistible fond for his signature pants, so much so that he even wears them while having an ice bath!

Josh Wallace spills Jim Harbaugh’s hilarious secret

Wallace had some interesting encounters with his then-head coach during his one season at Michigan. One of which he revealed during his recent press conference. “You know Coach Harbaugh; he works out in the morning. I walk past what we call the car wash and he’s in a full uniform. He had his khakis polo, in an ice tub like it was crazy,” Wallace said, laughing out loud at his uproarious confession. It was a cue for the fans to go berserk as they said, “Jim is insane.”

Harbaugh spilled the beans on it during his appearance on Jed Hughes’ podcast. It started as practical, logical advice from Adolph when Harbaugh asked him why he wore khaki pants every day. “Pockets, put my script in the pockets, place for my pens. Place for my whistle,” Adolph said. It was a eureka moment for Jim Harbaugh as well as he said, “It just made so much sense, it just made perfect sense.” Later, when revealing how wearing the same type of pants has aided him in his daily life on ESPN’s Mike and Mike Show, Harbaugh also confessed that “I can even work out in them too.” Safe to say, the fans’ reactions, despite being varied, were wild!
