The Harbaugh way of claiming championships

As Harbaugh delivered a captivating interview at the introductory press conference, he kept himself open to answering questions from the audience. Among them, the newly recruited Chargers’ head coach fielded a question from the sports director at KCBS-TV, Jim Hill. The broadcaster’s question revolved around Harbaugh’s expectations that come with a popular choice. To this, the coach came with an interesting reply, as he stated, “One thing I know is in Los Angeles California they respect talent, effort and winning. It needs to be multiple championships. And that we’re going to be humble and hungry. Our goal is to treat people in a first-class manner to win multiple championships, day by day”.

As he makes his entry back into the NFL, bidding farewell to his journey in college football, his expectations are set high. Harbaugh’s mantra for success exposes that humility in victory and hunger in defeat serve as the pillars of his championship mindset. Quoting his father Jackie Harbaugh, he encapsulated his philosophy with the timeless wisdom of “one day at a time, one game at a time, one play at a time”. The attitude to remain grounded amid inevitable highs and lows goes back to his long and successful tenure in college football.
