We are talking about the 4-star running back, Ulysses Bentley IV, who is returning to Ole Miss Rebels. The first person to break the news on Instagram was head coach Kiffin, and he did so in a captivating manner by using a genuine $230k Bentley.

The familiar “Doo” cheer will fill the Oxford stands with excitement once more. Bentley IV made it known in January that he wanted to return to Ole Miss, and Kiffin had the responsibility of turning that into a reality.

Bentley IV, who hails from Houston, Texas, spent the first years of his collegiate career with the SMU Mustangs. It was prior to the 2022 season that the running back joined the Rebels roster. As a part of Kiffin’s squad, he had a larger role. Rushing for 540 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games, he has been the oomph factor on the Rebels offense in 2023. How could Kiffin not celebrate his return? The Ole Miss HC just pulled out a master plan to announce the news. His latest Instagram post shows a baby-blue-colored $230k worth of Continental GTC.

More than the car, what immediately caught the eye was the person sitting on top of the ultimate handcrafted convertible. In a blue-colored jersey with his name written on it, Bentley IV is not showing his face. But it’s enough to tempt the hardcore Rebels fans about some Bentley IV fever in the coming days. How could they forget the electrifying season that the 4-star RB brought up for Kiffin’s squad?

According to the list published by the PFF College on May 17, Bentley IV secures the top position in the list of high-graded returning SEC RBs with an 87.4 grade. The RB has been dynamic for Kiffin as he notched nine total touchdowns and was just shy of 1,000 all-purpose yards since transferring from SMU. This news comes at the right time for the Rebels. 

The departure of Quinshon Judkins earlier this year had left the Ole Miss with a void. Hence, the HC and Co. were on a scouting expedition as they combed the transfer portal for another addition to the running back position. The SMU transfer still has an extra year of eligibility remaining because of COVID. With this, Bentley IV’s return will greatly help the Rebels’ running back room, which will also host the return of former four-star freshman Kedrick Reescano. 

The steady and electric presence of Ulysses “Doo” Bentley IV will be a tremendous bonus for Lane Kiffin who is looking to go all-in on making the 12-team playoffs in 2024. The confirmation of the RB’s return prompted Kiffin to use a Bentley. It’s now to be seen what a grand welcome waits for him.
