Antonio Brown was selected as the #195 pick by the Steelers, the second WR for the Steelers after Emmanuel Sanders, as all 32 teams passed over him multiple times. After his selection, he picked #84 as his jersey number. While explaining the rationale behind his choice, he said, “The purpose of number 84 is eight times four equals 32.” He further added, “There’s 32 NFL teams. Drafted late, a sixth-round pick. It reminds me, when I’m in the NFL, that 32 teams passed up on me.” Brown went on to serve the Steelers as a WR till 2018, and now Wilson will have an opportunity to do the same.
Roman Wilson is the right candidate for Pittsburgh Steelers
Many critics question the potential of Roman Wilson due to his lack of size for his position, even if Wilson is 5’11 feet and 185 lbs. But the Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith was impressed with Wilson as he explained the rationale behind the latter’s selection, “He’s got versatility,” Smith further added, “You could see his instincts on tape. He stepped up in the big moments. He had a great energy about him.”

Wilson is an ideal addition to the offence of the Steelers, where he can complement George Pickens. His strength lies in getting open on over routes and utilizing his speed effectively in the red zone. At the next level, he is likely to see the majority of his snaps in the slot, a role that suits his skill set better than playing on the outside.
