Now that the 2024 NFL Draft is done and dusted, it’s time for the legends to share their reactions. Transcending the boundaries of professional football, college football, too, is reigning on the notes left behind by the draft. Coach Prime’s son, Deion Sanders Jr., seeks Chicago Bears prime pick Caleb Williams’ stance to excite his undrafted wide receiver.

Xavier Weaver has the back of none other than Bucky Jr. to sail through the tough times. Even though he did manage to leave a mark while being invited to the NFL Combine, he failed to outshine, and his NFL journey suffered a setback.

Deion Jr. wants Weaver to take revenge

On April 28, Deion Sanders Jr. dedicated his tweet to the Buffaloes’ wide receiver Weaver, writing, “Make them regret it @thtkidzayy.” The 2024 NFL Draft held special relevance to the player since he became a go-to receiver for Shedeur after being under Coach Prime’s mentorship. But things did not go well this time for Weaver. After announcing his draft intentions in January, he was invited to the NFL Scouting Combine.

Interestingly, he was the only CU player to be invited to showcase his skills. On his pro day, in front of scouts from at least 12 NFL teams, he did leave an impact with his speed that appeared to be the real deal. As confirmed earlier by Weaver, four teams have shown the most interest in him: the Kansas City Chiefs, the Las Vegas Raiders, the New York Jets, and the Philadelphia Eagles. However, none of them landed the player, which left him undrafted. Then, Bucky Jr. took up the charge to give him a moral boost in the Williams way.

Rice had Williams’ back

The son of legend Jerry Rice went far behind in the NFL draft. Rice was tabbed as a mid-to-late round pick. But he had to wait till the seventh round until the Los Angeles Chargers picked him up. However, in his tough times, the former USC wide receiver found his teammate and the No. 1 pick by his side. Hinting at what the NFL teams are missing out on, Williams tweeted, “Make em pay.”

The bond between Rice and Williams seems so strong that it led Brenden to compare himself and Williams to the iconic duo of Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. Even though now that they both have gone into different teams and have to wait for a long time to reunite, his support will go a long way.

Similarly, although Deion Sanders Jr. does not hold the chance to hit the gridiron with Weaver, his kind words will help the player navigate through the tough times ahead. Now, what strategy the player adopts to take revenge is to be seen, evolving to be his best form.
