The preparations for the NFL 2024 draft are in full swing. The scouting and the front desk officials are doing their homework well, hoping to go for only the ones who suit their roster the best. The elite class picks, who are projected to be picked in round 1, however, are leaving everyone behind with their blazing records. NFL Combine week was a glorious chance they had to flaunt their skills, but if they missed anything there, they are settling the records at the Pro Day.

LSU WR Malik Nabres proved himself to be one of them. Rather, one of the elites. Nabers is already ranking as one of the top projected picks in the 2024 NFL Draft per several mock drafts. Safe to say, the WR secured his spot in the top 10 with his mind-boggling performance at the LSU Pro-Day. With scouting heads, coaches, and his teammates spectating the spectacular performance unfold, Malik Nabers made sure to put on a worthy show. The WR scored a massive 42-inch ‘high’ vertical jump.

The test is an indicator of leg strength among the players. The test is famous among the testing books of the NFL and the NBA, with Josh Imatorbhebhe leaped 46.5 inches in the 2021 NFL draft, one of the highest ever recorded in the pre-draft tests. Standing 1.83 m tall, Nabers, too, set the records straight for this season by scoring a whopping 42″ vertical jump.

On Wednesday, the vertical jump records were not the only test of his skills that Nabers used to impress the scouting heads. Nabers ran the 40-yard dash within 4.35 seconds, giving another taste of his agility. His agility paired with the predominant strengths the WR possesses holds the potential to get him drafted before Marvin Harrioson Jr.

Malik Nabers: Strengths and potential teams

The offense which will have Nabers will be a formidable one. His explosive ability is his best physical tool against the blocks, with his bounce evident from the vertical score jump. Nabers’ quality of keeping his feet moving presents him as a fantastic run-after-catch threat. He has a decent stiff arm after the catch, but his stealth while timing his hitches, comebacks, and stop-and-go routes makes him an elite without further ado.
