There is never anything like “way too early” for an NFL draft. Being a die-hard, it’s a year-round thing. This is exactly why the talks of ‘who would be the next QB1 in the 2025 draft’ started floating around just days after Caleb Williams got drafted as No.1 overall. Also, why Shedeur Sanders has since been making the headlines surrounding being the QB1? Hence, ESPN’s early 2025 mock NFL draft came as a quench to that thirst.

With this, Shedeur’s draft stock soared to new heights (more about this in a minute). Shedeur’s draft stock might have undergone several rises and falls in the past months but that has just multiplied the fans’ interest in the QB. The effects of this interest are showing up on the NIL valuation of the Colorado QB.

Even though already enthroned as the No.1 NIL valued player in the whole of NCAA per ON3’s list, Shedeur Sanders’s NIL value had witnessed a steep negative 2% fall in his NIL valuation in the past week. As a result, his previous $4.6 million NIL value had plummeted to $4.5 million, suffering a severe $85,000 setback. This week, the tables have turned for Shedeur. With the release of the early mock draft predicting Shedeur Sanders to go as a first-rounder QB2, the blow to his NIL valuation is also healing.

Per the July 3 update of the ON3 NIL valuation list, Shedeur Sanders’ valuation has been restored to $4.6 million, with the QB witnessing a positive 1% increase in his NIL value, about $32,000 increase. All thanks to the mock draft position that ESPN’s Matt Miller gave Shedeur Sanders.

Shedeur Sanders predicted to go with the Raiders.

With the regular season still a few months away, *drumroll* ESPN’s Matt Miller’s ‘Early NFL mock draft’ predictions for the first round have rolled in. Per the mock draft, Shedeur Sanders might not get to be the QB1 only if Carson Beck declares for the draft this year. If Beck decides to continue his college career, Shedeur might go as a QB1 and even a No.1 overall.

Per Miller’s draft, the New York Giants get the first pick and they select Georgia QB Carson Beck. At No.2, we have the Las Vegas Raiders, drafting Shedeur Sanders as QB2. The move emerged because of the dire need for a QB following the Jimmy Garopollo benching.

Now, it is not one of the teams that his father Deion Sanders wanted him to be drafted by: the 5 teams that he played for in his NFL days plus the Eagles. However, Shedeur is getting a spot in the top 3, as opposed to the belief until now that he would not even be a first-rounder. A win is a win.
