The 2024 NFL Draft Day is just a week away, and there is a lot of anticipation for the future prospects of the CU Buffaloes’ 2024 class, including Deion Sanders’ sons Shedeur and Shilo, who are reportedly set to enter the draft in 2025. Deion Sanders, a unique figure as both a father and head coach of Colorado, has been eagerly anticipating Shedeur and Shilo’s next year’s draft and even expressed his plans of “pulling an Eli if needed. However, when Coach Prime was asked if he sees any players he would like to compare his sons to, he bluntly refused to entertain the notion of NFL comparisons.

In his pre-Spring Game presser, Coach Prime emphasized his disdain for comparing his children to other players, stating, “I don’t do that. I don’t need to compare my kids to anybody else’s kids. He firmly expressed his desire for Shedeur and Shilo to pave their own paths in the NFL, aiming for top-tier status rather than settling for comparisons to other players.

Coach Prime highlighted the uniqueness of his sons’ and other players’ talents by stating, “I don’t compare them to anybody. There’s not another Travis [Hunter] out there, not another Shedeur or another Shilo [Sanders], and Jimmy [Horn Jr.] or LaJohntay [Wester]… the NFL does that foolishness. I don’t even know if that even sticks. They always tried to do that to generate interest. I don’t believe in that.”

Coach Prime rejected the notion of NFL comparisons to generate interest and underscored his belief in his sons’ capabilities and potential. Furthermore, Deion Sanders has expressed where he wants his star players of the 2024 class, including his sons Shilo and Shedeur, to land through next year’s draft.
