Woah! Paul Finebaum is back at stripping off the Colorado Buffaloes. A few days back, it was the same Paul who raised concerns about Deion Sanders’ Buffs being ‘irrelevant’ in college football. He continues to hold on to the same belief, even though Coach Prime stands to defend himself.

Deion might be having some big shots like Shannon Sharpe and Stephen A. Smith rooting for him from the stands. However, will that melt Finebaum’s heart? No, NEVER! On July 17, he appeared on The Matt Barrie Show, and guess what? He didn’t mince his words and threw the shed at the fact that it’s all glitter and no gold in Deion’s Colorado.

Finebaum scoffs at Deion Sanders’ star-studded sideline

On July 15, the analyst from ESPN served a savage diss to the Buffaloes. At the SEC Media Big Days, Finebaum dropped a bomb as to him Colorado’s chances are slimmer. To quote him, “Deion Sanders is. He’s a standalone person … he’s one of the most charismatic people we’ve ever seen. But Colorado is nothing. They don’t matter. They’re irrelevant in the big picture.” While the tension has not cooled down yet, Finebaum has lassoed legendary figures into his take on the Buffs.

Is it because Deion came with a sharp retort to his last attack? Coach Prime clapped back, claiming, “God is good my brother & they mad mad! I sense a bit of anger & hostility.” After this, there was no way the analyst would remain silent. On The Matt Barrie Show Finebaum passed a caustic jab at Colorado, “Once we get into the season you and I aren’t going to be talking about them [Colorado] anymore. I’ll let Stephen A. Smith and Shannon Sharpe and ‘The Rock’ and you know every other celebrity in the world show up on the sidelines but I’m going to be talking about the teams that matter in college football and Colorado is not one of them.” Finebaum has been apt in his choice of top dogs.

Colorado Buffaloes and its star-studded backup

Deion’s sons, Shedeur and Shilo, will always have the back of the ESPN analyst, Stephen A. Smith. While the world throws shade at Coach Prime’s son, passing them through the grinding stones of the ‘nepotism’ tag, Smith is always the first one to pour in his support. But why? Here comes his big claim, “And I say this respectfully to Shilo and Shedeur, two ballers. You’re Deion Sanders’ sons. That means you will always have my support because I love your daddy like a brother.”

While Deion’s bold coaching style earns him snarky commentary from the critics, Coach Prime is one lucky fan to find the support of the legendary NFL tight end, Shannon Sharpe. “He’s doing it a different way. When you do things a different way, it scares a lot of people…But you can win a lot of different ways, and his players believe in him. Yes, he’s the best, or in college football,” came Sharpe’s bold analysis.

Often spotted together, Deion Sanders and Dwayne ‘Rock’ Johnson have been friends for quite a long time now. The respect is mutual as Coach Prime paid a visit at ‘The Rock’s UFL launch back in March, Johnson too rooted for Colorado on the set of ESPN’s College ‘GameDay’. It’s now to be seen whether Buffaloes’ VIP validation helps them to keep the boat afloat or Finebaum shares the last laugh.
