Caleb Williams, the USC quarterback and potential No. 1 pick this season, is known for his unpredictable and unique personality. Whether it’s his choice of nail color or his fashion sense, Williams always surprises his fans, keeping them on their toes. 

As Williams potentially prepares to join the Bears, he’s also exploring his interests outside of football. One such interest is golf. Williams recently shared his golf session with his fans on Instagram, giving them a glimpse into his life beyond the football field. 

Williams takes up golf after a special encouragement 

Williams is walking the same path as the NFL GOAT, Tom Brady. Williams decided to go live on Instagram to let his fans witness how he spends his time off the field. Not letting go of the opportunity to surprise his fans, the live session captured Williams busy in golfing action.

He did not miss his little victory dance at the end as he successfully made a hole-in-one. Even though the quarterback had not tried his hand at golf, an instance propelled him to give it a second thought. Only after the USC coach, Lincoln Riley encouraged him did he start to pick up on the sport.

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old quarterback is all set to start an important chapter of his life. Having amassed 3,633 yards, 30 touchdowns, and five interceptions, Williams is a highly touted quarterback in the upcoming NFL Draft.

The current situation between Williams and the Bears

In the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears are eyeing the USC quarterback, Caleb Williams, for their No. 1 pick. However, it’s not a straightforward process. Williams had to undergo a rigorous assessment, including a top-30 visit to Chicago. During this visit, the Bears made an effort to connect with Williams, treating him to dinner at Sophia Steaks in Lake Forest.

According to the latest reports, Bears’ Josh Schrock suggested that it was a successful visit with Williams. Meanwhile, Williams is not bothered by Chicago’s poor track record with quarterbacks. Respect goes both ways, as there has been a meeting with the quarterback, Bears coach Matt Eberflus, General Manager Ryan Poles, and other team officials in attendance.

Williams believes the quarterback will enjoy a better infrastructure by joining the Chicago Bears. It is now to be seen how Ryan Poles’ squad uses the Carolina Panthers’ poor performance last season to draft the Heisman Trophy winner, the Trojans quarterback.
