Jim Harbaugh’s and Ryan Day’s cold war is far from getting over, it seems. Now that Harbaugh has cut ties with college football and made his way to the NFL, Day still never misses a chance to pull a dirty joke at the Los Angeles Chargers HC.

Ahead of the spring game, it is time for the Ohio State Buckeyes HC to update the press conference about the challenges they are facing. However, even during the interview while answering a question, Day passed a mocking remark at Harbaugh without directly taking his name.

Ohio State is coming off an 11-2 season that includes the program’s third straight loss to the Michigan Wolverines. Hence, the upcoming Spring game holds great prominence for Day’s squad. Ahead of the big match day, the Buckeyes coach faced the reporters at a press conference. During the session, a reporter asked him, “Who on defense is giving the offense the biggest headache this spring?” To which, imitating as if he has a blocked nose, Day commented, “Jim nose” followed by a sly laugh.

The two coaches share a rivalry that goes years in the past. The deteriorating terms between Harbaugh and Day did have an impact on the contest between the two programs, the Wolverines and Buckeyes. Under Harbaugh, Michigan won against Ohio State in 2021 since 2011. After this victory, what the then Michigan’s coach termed as “good-hearted rivalry talk” called out Day as, “Sometimes people are standing on third base”. However, the Buckeyes HC continues with the animosity.

A few days back jealousy seemed to take over Day now that Harbaugh has made his way to coach an NFL team. On behalf of the Buckeyes, the coach recruited Carlos Locklyn as the running backs coach. Just after hiring Locklyn, Day appreciated the coach claiming, “Like some of us in this profession, he came up not in a football family but grew up and kind of had to figure it out on his own.”
