Deion Sanders knows how to protect his kids from lashing on social media. This time is no exception, but he chooses to adhere to the graceful path to reply to the attacker. Sharing a picture with Shilo, the Colorado Buffaloes safety, Coach Prime chose an optimistic caption about their practice ahead of the Spring Games.

However, the comment section of the Instagram post is filled with negativity. Instead of Shilo, a fan chose to target Shedeur. But Sanders, being Sanders, did not attack him back; instead, he came up with a gracious reply.

Deion Sanders’ stark reply with a touch of positivity

Final bells ahead of the Spring games are about to ring, and the Buffs HC and his squad have hit the training ground with full potential. Sharing bits and pieces from the drills, Deion Sanders posted a picture of him walking side-by-side with Shilo on his Instagram profile. What instantly catches the attention is the caption that reads, “Great day of Practice Yesterday! I’m Loving what I’m seeing. God is Good. @cubuffsfootball #CoachPrime.”. However, some fans chose the comment section to unleash their critical side. Bringing Shedeur into the argument, a fan wrote, “[Shedeur Sanders] also your kid the quarterback ain’t no first-round pick led alone franchise quarterback.”

Here, Deion Sanders stepped up and, instead of choosing violence, revealed how positivity drives his every action. In reply to the comment, Coach Prime wrote, “and your son is Awesome. I pray for your kids and I wish them very best.” In this way, Sanders sets himself as an example of how to deal with negativity, urging Shedeur to focus on his journey.

Deion Sanders’ take on Shedeur’s prospect

On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for his book launch, Deion Sanders expressed his belief that his son would be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Last season, Shedeur threw for 3,320 yards and 27 touchdowns and amassed a completion rate of 69% of his passes. His father and the quarterback think highly about his draft prospects.

In an interview with Brice Butler from Sports Illustrated, Shedeur confessed, “I’m biased, but I don’t see a quarterback that’s better than me. I don’t see a quarterback that went through as much adversity as me, that had four [offensive coordinators] in four years.” Hence, to ensure that no negative comments break Shedeur’s morale, Deion Sanders chose to fight back but positively.

It is not that Deion Sanders blindly supports his son. He has been very clear about how Shedeur would not have been the 1st pick if he entered the NFL this year. The Buffaloes quarterback will now have to wait a year to give the ultimate reply to the fan.
