Previously too, he had openly warned about defeating Day’s Buckeyes giving a glimpse of their winning mantra, “That’s everything we work for all year. That’s the standard we uphold ourselves in that program and we’ll continue to do so. We know everything we do and we work for as we’re trying to beat them every single day.” However, the new players at Ohio State including Caleb Downs and Julian Sayin adds a layer of intrigue to whether Moore’s plan will ultimately materialize or not. In the meanwhile, the Wolverines coach is on a recruiting spree to bolster the players’ roster and coaching staff.

Besides Downs, Ray had kept an eye on the five-star quarterback from Alabama, Julian Sayin and have acquired his commitment eventually. The Buckeyes’ defensive lineup is set to feature key returning players including defensive linemen Jack Sawyer, J.T. Tuimoloau and Tyleik Williams. Day has also made a strategic move to bolster the coaching roster by locking in Chip Kelly, the former UCLA head coach as the offensive coordinator. However, the situation is contrasting for Moore’s Wolverines.

Moore is trying to gear up the Wolverines roster. As per the latest reports, the new coach has hired Tennessee linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary for the same role in the Wolverines. Besides, Moore is all geared up to bring Harbaugh’s close associate, the Chief of Staff for the Chicago Bears, Sean Magee. Under Moore’s guidance, the Wolverines have even approached offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell, a five-star recruit in the 2026 class. As per his recruiting strategy, the coach targeted the highly-rated four-star tight-end, Nate Roberts from Washington High School.

Starting with Harbaugh’s departure exits from the coaching staff as well as among the players have become a common affair. Now that Moore has taken charge, fans eagerly await the new coach’s blueprint to put an end to Ohio State’s supremacy over Michigans.
