Swapping gloves for cleats? As wild as the possibility sounds, Shilo Sanders suggested Ryan Gracia about it. The suggestion came after a playful sparring session after the Buffs’ defense had a tug-of-war with the offense to establish dominance at the CU Spring game. Gracia’s attendance at the CU Spring games came after receiving a special invitation from Prime himself.

After the rejuvenated Buffs team displayed a cheer-inducing performance on Saturday, Gracia paid a special visit to Sanders and Co. in their rooms.

First, Gracia headed to meet the head coach Deion Sanders, where he gave him some sparring tips (and a lot of regret), he beelined his way to the locker room to meet the stars of the evening. Safety Shilo Sanders took to his Instagram to share a moment from their meet. A sparring session filled with jokes and giggles, followed by the flaunt of Gracia’s slithering footwork, and a heartfelt hug made up their meeting.

After all the practice the Headache Gang CEO Shilo Sanders has put in for the Spring game, he knows the value of footwork as slither as a snake in getting the points in, be it the boxing ring or the gridiron. Gracia capitalized on his footwork against Haney, adding another win to his 24 wins and just one loss to his boxing career record. Sanders believed it would make a great addition to the Buffs roster, only if the up-and-coming WBC star is ready to swap the boxing ring for the grassy gridiron. “We gotta get you in some cleats with that footwork,” Sanders captioned his Instagram post.

An addition to the Buffs roster of someone with a command over the footwork as good as Gracia would prove to be the perfect game-changing factor, especially when they have already aced the offense and defense line performances. While their real test would be during the regular season, the glimpse of the fresh-looking Buffs roster looks quite promising.

The sneak-peak that the Buffs displayed in their developments in their skills throughout the off-season. The fans knew Deion Sanders was not going easy on the Buffs this season through the Well Off Media videos and it was on full display on Saturday. Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter dominated the offense pretty well. The QB that was the most-sacked one last season completed 16 out of the 19 attempts and scrimmaged for 234 yards, 2 pass TDs, and 1 rushing TD.

On the defensive side, LaJohntay Wester annihilated the records by proving himself to be as good as he was advertised. The 5’11”, 167-pound WR proved to be a beast in the defensive slot with his 66 yards on only three receptions and a 23-yard TD. The new Buffs have re-ignited the doused-down hopes from the previous 4-8 season, giving a good promise for the season to come.
