It was revealed, that just a few days before he participated in the X Games, Sanders underwent surgery to address an injury on his finger. On this note, by bouncing back from a recent surgery, Sanders expounded his grit and tenacity.

Sanders’ injury and Coach Prime’s unique reaction

Sanders got an ACL (Anterior cruciate ligament) injury that left him with a broken ‘pinky’ finger when he played at Jackson State. However, since Colorado demanded his full commitment, he decided to fix the injury by undergoing surgery. Shilo’s father, Coach Prime, refused to let his son become morose and inspired him to meet the injury with a dose of laughter.
