The YouTube channel Locked On Buffs has taken a deep dive into the issue, particularly focusing on what they perceive as “double standards” in his approach. 

The host of Locked On Buffs delves into the repercussions of Sanders’ actions, particularly his support of his son’s jab at Xavier Smith. This incident and others have sparked a debate about the impact of Sanders’ coaching style on the team. 

Borba exposes Sanders for having double standards

The YouTube show host, Kevin Borba, found it necessary to decode what Sanders faces on social media. After Smith confessed how he and a few of his teammates were shown the door, a player took Smith’s stand. Then Borba informed, calling attention to Deion Sanders’ actions, “It seemed like he was making fun of him it seemed like he was mocking his stats and it seemed like he was kind of shooting down the player.”

The host then moved forward to expose Sanders for playing “double standards” as he claimed, “He always talks about wanting to propel guys, young athletes to the next level he always talks about supporting them so when there’s a tweet, and it’s his kind of looking like he’s making fun of a young athlete who probably looks up to him or looked up to him at one point… it kind of a lot of people were like what the what is wrong.” This was not the only time the Buffs HC had been criticized for having a superiority complex.

Deion Sanders’ take on the situation

On Smith’s departure, Shedeur tweeted, claiming ignorance of Smith’s identity and that he was a mediocre player. Even though Deion Sanders did not agree with his son’s statement directly, he supported Shedeur in the comment section, attacking a fan who questioned the quarterback’s audacity to pass comment on Smith’s importance in the Buffs squad. However, on Thee Pregame Show, Deion Sanders refused to take accountability for his action, “I was bored, and I didn’t say nothing hurtful. I don’t attack people.”

Not only Smith but also, on another occasion, Sanders chose to share the stats of another player, defensive back Jaheim Ward, posting the screenshot with the caption, “Lawd Jesus.” Even though his intentions had been clear, later on, the Buffs HC justified his actions were not meant to attack Ward and instead asserted, “I try my best not to hit him, but you gotta understand I’m human…it blew up in everybody in the country, nobody, just because I said Lord Jesus.”

Deion Sanders’ unyielding and unapologetic nature has cast a negative light on the Buffs HC. Despite the online attacks and the current situation in the Buffs roster, the coach remains resolute, planning to transform the Colorado program into an unparalleled powerhouse by recruiting new members.
