You can take Deion Sanders out of Colorado, but not Colorado out of Deion Sanders. Now that spring break is in full swing, the Colorado Buffaloes’ players and Coach Prime are spending their time away from the gridiron. The Buffaloes HC has chosen the Dominican Republic as his ultimate destination to spend time with his family.

However, deep down, after three days of enjoying the serene beauty of the Caribbean, his heart aches for his silver, black, and gold tribe. This follows an honest confession from the coach.

Deion Sanders gets homesick

Before the grueling 2024 season of the Buffaloes, Sanders is in a vacation mood, using every opportunity to live his life to the fullest. As Deion Sanders Jr. ensured to record bits and pieces from their getaway, Coach Prime is seen taking leisurely walks along the beaches and jogging. However, no matter how lavish the tropical vacation is, there remains a vacuum in his heart. His latest tweet found a candid expression of homesickness as he wrote, “Darn it I miss my team & staff! @CUBuffsFootball @CUBoulder.”

This is his way of connecting with the players even though they, too, are individually enjoying this break. Because of this post, it can be firmly believed that for Deion Sanders, the Buffaloes football program is more than just a job; it’s a family. Even though Deion Jr. and Shedeur joined their father, luck didn’t favor Shilo. For a silly mistake, Shilo could not join them. But do not worry; Deion Sanders knows how to keep his son engaged.

The Buffaloes’ safety was barred from joining his family on vacation to the Caribbean because he forgot to carry an essential item: his passport. However, Coach Prime had a solution for Shilo. Instead of brooding or chilling in his home, he advised his son to use this spare time to sweat it out in the facility. As a sweet punishment for Shilo’s irresponsible act, Coach Prime went on FaceTime, “Why won’t you have time to go and run around the track at the facility to stay well-conditioned?”

Fathers being fathers, being a couch potato is a crime, and Coach Prime is no exception. Even though he switched to his cool side during the vacation, Deion Sanders ensured he would rub salt on Shilo’s wounds. Making fun of his son’s condition, courtesy goes to his lack of responsibility, the Buffs HC light-heartedly reminded his son, “I ain’t bring you no more,”

Deion Sanders knows that with Black and Gold Day knocking at the door, he must return to his duty after returning from the Dominican Republic. Back of the mind, he can’t just wait to hit the field, hence this heartfelt message for the Colorado roster and advice for Shilo to be his best version before the big day.
