Adore or despise, Deion Sanders is impossible to overlook. The Colorado Buffaloes found Coach Prime the ideal man to sail their boat and offered him $280 million for five years. But the ride has been a mixed bag of experience. While the Buffs head coach lost some, his occasional wins somewhat helped balance the negatives. But what treat did Deion snag?

On July 13, CFB insider Bruce Feldman endorsed the Buffs HC on The Rich Eisen Show. He said Sanders kept college football fans hooked and buzzing. The Buffs HC is trying to overturn the 4-8 narrative to regain his trust.

The spotlight effect of Deion Sanders’ Colorado

It has been nothing less than a rollercoaster ride for Sanders in Colorado. But he has kept the fans and haters on their toes during his tenure. Coach Prime’s inaugural shocker came in September when only a handful believed in him. The scorecard read — Horned Dogs: 42, Buffaloes: 45! From there, it continued: Nebraska and Colorado State — the ultimate Sanders winning spree.

As much as it raised Colorado on the pedestal, their epic fail in the trenches “came back to bite them.” Regardless of the results, fans couldn’t take their peepers off them. As pointed out by Feldman, “Most of them at least acknowledge of not all that this is good for their business you know they would much rather have people talking about them.”

With this, the Buffaloes are always in the dazzling dome, making every action reach the audience, whether good or bad. Not everyone has that privilege. Feldman took Mountain West as the big example and commented, “Mountain West where there’s some good football there but it’s just not getting people’s attention whereas love them or hate them you probably have an opinion on Deion Sanders.” While it’s a 50-50 situation for Coach Prime, he ensures he gains 100% trust this season.

The mission for Coach Prime in Year 2

As another highly anticipated season is about to kick in, the time has come for some “Big Noon Conversations.” And guess what? Confidence runs in Deion’s bloodstream. In a mission to make things right, in his Year 2 at Boulder, the Buffs HC will be guided by only one mission. As confirmed by the coach himself, “So I plan on being here and being dominant here, because they’re establishing something that we’re going to continue to build on for years to come.”

But he is not only big on words; he has actually taken some significant actions. The foremost is bolstering the defensive line and closing the loopholes. As Shedeur was the most sacked quarterback last season, going away with 52 sacks, Coach Prime has lined up an army for his son.

Besides, he added an oomph factor to the training regimen. Before the Spring games, he recruited the US Marine Corps to do the honors of strengthening the Colorado roster both mentally and physically. After getting satisfactory results, Coach Prime wanted to try their luck by introducing Navy SEAL training. Will his dedication turn into high-fives or face-palms? Do share your thoughts!
