The 2024 NFL draft drama is getting way too real! While Caleb Williams is almost locked with the Bears, the other top 4 QBs are in a tussle. JJ McCarthy, Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, and Micheal Penix Jr. are locked in a tug-of-war. The top 10 teams in the preparations to make a draft in the QB department are pretty adamant about securing one of them. JJ McCarthy was the hottest pick until a few weeks back when his draft stocks got too high for the teams, bringing Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye into the competition again.

Now, as all these QBs sit on the same bench, their meetings with teams continue to spark further speculations among the fans. One team that is the ignitor of those rumors is the Vikings. Just a few days back, JJ McCarthy dined with the Vikings. Now, per NFL’s Tom Pelissero’s reports, Jayden Daniels is expected to do the same at brass in Baton Rouge.

“Minnesota owns the No. 11 and 23 picks and has been gathering all the info in case there’s an opportunity to move up for one of the top QBs,” Pelissero tweeted. The Vikings moving up to secure a QB of their preference is one of the most rumored trade-ups for the 2024 NFL draft. Earlier, the move came as a way for the Vikings to secure JJ McCarthy.

Now, with the Commanders and Patriots eyeing a QB in the draft, the Vikings face a tough decision, even if they trade up with the Cardinals or Chargers. To make it all too worse, both Daniels and McCarthy are engaging in these meetings with their fierce competitors as well.

The coveted No.2 Overall pick for the 2024 NFL draft is also a topic where hot takes are pouring in. However, the Commanders might be finalizing their draft picks soon since their meetings with the QBs department have gone well.

Going all out of the box, the Commanders hosted all of their top 4 prospects together on April 16 and 17. General manager Adam Peter and Dan Quinn might have some comparative standards to test out ahead of the draft to cherry-pick the QB of their dreams. Hence, with the competition coming in from the teams ahead of the Vikings in the draft board, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and Kevin O’Connell need to scale up their game.
