The blame game initiated by Gavin Kuld has not only deeply affected the critics but also left a profound impact on the members of the Colorado Buffaloes, particularly Shedeur Sanders and Justin Mayers. Despite the silence of Deion Sanders, his confidant has stepped up to address the issue.

Uncle Neely, on the DNVR Sports podcast, harshly criticized Kuld for his post-exit actions, especially his attack on Shedeur. In Neely’s view, Kuld’s decision to sever ties with the bridge that aided his growth was a grave mistake. According to Neely, this misstep will lead the former Buffaloes backup to a future as bleak as his teammate Cormani McClain’s.

Uncle Neely gives a harsh reality check for Kuld’s missed chances

On the podcast, Uncle Neely was brutal in exposing the truth and trying to make up for the damage created by the transfers this season. He did not take a stand for his friend, Coach Prime, or his son, Shedeur. Instead, he held Kuld under scrutiny and held him accountable for receiving the best treatment in Colorado, yet letting go of that prime chance. Uncle Neely started his evaluation with, “You get the opportunity to play you get the opportunity to show who you are, you get the opportunity to get to know Coach Prime and your talent is evaluated… what opportunity did you not get? You got the same reps that everybody else in front of you got and you didn’t make the most of them.”

Instead, Kuld could have leveraged his experience as a stepping stone to a better future in a few years. “So I don’t understand you know from the player standpoint. Why leave and burn bridges because the relationship capital you have with your coaches and your former teammates you never know what that’s going to mean five, ten, twenty  years from now,” asserted Uncle Neely. Now that, as per Neely’s analysis, Kuld has already burned his bridge, he has no options to cross the path and land somewhere else.

Kuld’s journey from Buffs to uncertainty

Even though it is confirmed that Kuld has joined the transfer portal, where he goes next has yet to be found. But it will be a difficult road ahead for the ex-Buffaloes backup quarterback, likely similar to that of McClain. The former Buffaloes’ cornerback did hold Deion Sanders responsible for his decision to move out of Colorado. He openly claimed to go for a “great and real program” this time, but it did not go well with the program recruiters.

Matt Zenitz, the 247Sports reporter, brought forward the reality as he reported, “Even with the talent he [Cormani] has, it’s led a lot of teams I’ve talked to being reluctant to pursue him… It’s led to a point where a lot of teams are planning on not pursuing him.” McClain’s whimsicality and talking bad things about Colorado came off as immature.

Now that Gavin Kuld’s attack has stirred Shedeur Sanders and Justin Mayers trying their best to bring out the truth, it is time to see how programs react to landing the backup quarterback. Will Kuld have to seek the help of Coach Prime for some kind words that might act as a healing balm to this tense situation?
