Remember the “It’s Finger Lickin’ Good” ad that Deion Sanders and family got featured in? Back when it came out, Shedeur Sanders had a bone to pick with his dad. It was the classic sibling rivalry – who does Deion love more- Shilo or Shedeur? Now that Father’s Day is right around the corner, Coach Prime had to give a test as a father. Also, it marks one year of the KFC commercial featuring the full Sanders tribe from the Buffs HC’s mother to his army of five kids. Unfortunately, one year down the line, the QB still holds onto some grudges regarding the commercial.

On June 1, 2023, KFC teamed up with Deion Sanders and his family to promote their latest menu innovations. The ad featured Coach Prime’s mother, Connie Knight, along with his five children- Shedeur, Shilo, Deion Jr, Deiondra, and Shelomi. But in the latest Well Off Media video, it’s seen that Shedeur is giving a tough time to his father with the claim that the Buffs HC planned to only feature himself and Shilo. To clear the doubts, what Deion did was he picked up the phone and contacted someone from the ad shoot. He asked the person, “Hey, good man.. the commercial KFC who did I say I wanted in the commercials?”

Little did Deion Sanders know that this conversation would only prove Shedeur’s claim to be right as the voice from the other side confirmed, “Right now it’s just family, I think it’s Shilo”. Being the ultimate strategist, Coach Prime brilliantly tried to divert the topic by asking the question once again. To which the man replied, “Did you say that to Jose?” Hence, he was not the one who spoke to Deion but someone named Jose perhaps did. Or it could be a scheme.

Did Deion Sanders deliberately call this person very well, knowing that he was not present there, or did Deion forget the name of the actual person? We don’t know about this. But what we know is that Shedeur was supposed to give Coach Prime something special, but he lost the chance as the QB quipped, “You ruined your Father’s Day gift”. This was not the first time that Shilo and Deion Sanders played as one, teaming up against Shedeur.

Shilo and Deion teamed up against Shedeur

Back in January, both Shilo and Shedeur flew off to Paris to try their hands at something outside the gridiron. The Sanders brothers took on the Paris Fashion Week draped in Louis Vuittons’ Winter/Fall collection. Known for his bling-bling with silver chains and jersey jackets, Deion could not get used to Shedeur’s new look.

So when Shilo face-timed their father to give a sneak-peak of the Buffs QB’s winter ensemble, Coach Prime could not help but mock Shedeur, “What are you, a trash bag?” Shilo could not let go of the opportunity of pulling his brother’s leg and joined his father, teasing Shedeur over the call, “Dad, he’s losing himself, dog”. Later, on another occasion, when the Sanders clan flew to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl, Deion teamed up with Shilo to tease Shedeur who was flexing a luxury bag.

Now that Deion Sanders has disappointed the QB before Father’s Day, it leaves the fans wondering what special plans Shedeur had for his father. A lavish getaway or a luxury timepiece?
