Before, there were reports that Donald might retire after the Rams won the Super Bowl 2022. As of now, Donald has signed an extension with the Rams, making the fans happy who are looking forward to the upcoming season. But, still, there is one person who did not want Aaron Donald to play this season.
Cardinals Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury met Aaron Donald at the Rams HC Sean McWay’s wedding. Not only this, but he also tried to convince Donald to retire and not play for the Rams this season.

Kliff said, “I did my best to try and convince Aaron Donald to retire, obviously that didn’t work. I thought, I told him you’ve accomplished all you can accomplish, it’s a great idea to go out on your terms, all that.”
Aaron Donald recently became the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. Donald signed a new three-year deal worth $95 million with the Los Angeles Rams. There were talks that the defensive star will retire, but the Rams have convinced him to stay for three more years.
Aaron Donald has a crushing record against Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals and the Rams share the same division that is NFC West. The Arizona Cardinals have a bad record with the Rams. Under the guidance of Kliff Kingsbury Cardinals are 1-6 against the Rams. Last year, the Cardinals met the Rams in the Wild Card round, where the Rams defeated them by 34-11.
