Aaron Rodgers Gets Boost From NFL Executives But Snubbing Tom Brady & Patrick Mahomes Doesn’t Bode Well With This Broadcaster
Recently, the top NFL executives prepared a list of who they think are the top 10 QBs in the league. Naturally, the list features illustrious names to no surprise. However, the one that irks broadcaster Colin Cowherd is Aaron Rodgers. The Packers’ QB is placed first on the executives’ list while he was ranked fourth in Colin’s list of top 10 QBs in the NFL.
Moreover, Colin’s list featured Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen as the top two QBs in the NFL. He puts them ahead of Tom Brady at three and Aaron Rodgers at four. Conversely, the NFL executives’ list puts Aaron Rodgers in the first position ahead of Mahomes and Allen in the second and third position. It slips Tom Brady at fourth. These rankings have baffled the seasoned media broadcaster.

Even though Aaron Rodgers managed to secure back-to-back NFL MVP awards in the last two seasons, Colin wasn’t satisfied. He believes that Rodgers can’t be put ahead of Mahomes, Allen, and, most importantly, Tom Brady. However, the 7x Super Bowl-winning champion is still the most trusted when you need a last-minute win, per Cowherd.
The broadcaster pointed out that, according to his list, Mahomes and Allen outrank Rodgers and Brady. He even made a strong case for Derek Carr, but the QB doesn’t even find a spot on the list of NFL executives. In addition, he lashed out after having a glimpse of the list.
What did Colin comment about Aaron Rodgers being the no.1 QB in the list of top 10 QBs in the NFL?
Speaking on his show, he said, “The one thing that blows me away here is that the NFL isn’t baseball which is just like trapped with tradition like baseballs about yesterday… But it is amazing to me that people that are paid to do this for a living; players and coaches would put Aaron Rodgers above Brady, and Mahomes, and Joe Burrow, and Josh Allen.”

He added, “With a minute 30 left 75 yards you trail, you pick Aaron over Brady?” Clearly, Aaron Rodgers as the no.1 QB doesn’t sit well with him.

Cowherd’s list also featured Kyler Murray, who was excluded from the executive’s list. The Packers‘ QB wouldn’t care much for his position as long as he can win his third consecutive MVP award in the 2022 season and make the Packers win the Super Bowl.
