‘Aaron Rodgers is a Hall of Fame QB’: Ravens DC Praises Packers QB But Throws Shade on Bengals’ Joe Burrow

Baltimore Ravens went down against Aaron Rodgers led Green Bay Packers during their Week 15 matchup by a small margin. The Ravens tried to contain the lethal Aaron Rodgers-Davante Adams duo but failed to do so. The Baltimore defensive coordinator Wink Martindale following the game paid his respects to the Packers’ offense after saying that they had to double down on them but produced little to no results.
However, Martindale won’t be approaching the Cincinnati Bengals with the same tactics next week. Since he believes that they are not in the same league as the Packers. And containing quarterback Joe Burrow and wideout Ja’Mar Chase is going to be much easier for them. And so they will be sparing them of the coverage that they gave to the Rodgers-led offense.

“Adams is one of the top two receivers in the league and he’s not No. 2. Aaron Rodgers is a Hall of Fame QB, and I don’t think we’re ready to buy a gold jacket for Joe,” Martindale said, via Jamison Hensley of ESPN.
Respect for Aaron Rodgers but not for Joe Burrow
Although apart from all the trash talk dropped in by the Ravens DC to intimidate the Bengals. The last time the two sides met ended in favor of the Bengals. It was during Week 7 this season when the Cincinnati Bengals broke down the Baltimore Ravens for a 17-41 win.

However, what’s even more painful for the Ravens is that Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr chased down the end zone for eight receptions covering an impressive 201 yards for a touchdown pass from Joe Burrow. The quarterback himself was on fire that night. Burrow finished with 23 completions of 38 pass attempts throwing for 416 yards with three touchdowns and one interception.

Currently, Cincinnati leads the AFC North table with a reputed 8-6 record. And it is going to be crucial for them to win against the Ravens to secure their position on top. The regional rivals meet again in their Week 16 matchup in the Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati. It is to be seen if the Ravens could seal a win without proper coverage to Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase.
