Scantling, who has been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism for his performances over the past few weeks, enjoyed a solid night against the Lions.
The WR ended the game with 85 receiving yards to his name, which included a touchdown in the second quarter. Speaking to the media, Rodgers was asked about what gave him the confidence to go down the MVS route again after a spell of disappointing outings from the latter.

Rodgers helps us all develop our game – Packers’ RB Aaron Jones
Rodgers replied that he had a feeling that MVS was ready again and that a conversation with the WR during the Indianapolis game might have been the moment that acted as the catalyst for Scantling’s resurgence.
“You just feel, you know, I think it’s just a feeling… I think it was in Indy. It just took a conversation. You know, I felt like at the point where he should have turned back that maybe he wasn’t on top of the guy and he said I’m gonna beat him on speed.
“So we had a nice little conversation down the sidelines. And I don’t know if it happened at that moment. And that may have hit his brain,” said Rodgers.

Rodgers was all praise for the attitude MVS showed to get back into the game and prove his worth to his teammates.
“I’m really proud of the way that he played today, the focus that he’s shown the last few weeks not getting the football has been really admirable…
“That’s how you earn the respect of your teammates, the way you conduct yourself when it may not be going as well as you’d like,” he added.
