Aaron Rodgers Remains Coy When Asked About Future With the Green Bay Packers

It will be safe to say that the Green Bay Packers have exceeded expectations over the last four months. There was a lot of uncertainty surrounding the Wisconsin-based franchise in the build-up to the 2020 NFL season. The short-term future of veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers was also in jeopardy due to the arrival of rookie Jordan Love.
The Packers traded up to draft Utah College star Jordan Love in the first round as the 26th overall pick in 2020. There were rumours that the Packers’ board are gearing up for life after Rodgers and this was part of the process. But after his displays this season, one can’t help but wonder, should the Packers actually let Rodgers leave when he still has some gas left in his tank?
Here’s what the recently turned 37-year old said in response to that at a recent interview.

“No, I don’t feel any different. I don’t think, uh, the situation hasn’t changed. I’m really happy with the way I’ve played and the team’s played this year but there are factors out of my control. It’s just kind of are what they are.”

“It’s probably a little different conversation sitting here with the season I’ve had compared to the numbers maybe I had last year. But I’m not really worried about that at this point and I don’t think anything’s changed,” Rodgers said at a recent press meet.
After throwing for 4,500+ yards and leading the league in passing TDs, Rodgers is having a season to remember. He is battling it out with the likes of Russell Wilson and Patrick Mahomes for his third NFL MVP title as well.

So far, coach Matt LaFleur has managed to keep his star quarterback content. Rodgers also seems to have a special bond with a teammate, Davante Adams, who is having a brilliant season of his own. We’d hate to see A-Rod leave the Green and Yellow in 2021.
