As per Beliefnet.com, the Rodgers household was unhappy with Aaron’s comments regarding their faith. The QB tried to keep his point, but the ‘fiery hell’ remark might be the salt to the wound.

Aaron Rodgers opens up on Danica Patrick’s podcast, saying, “I don’t know how you can believe in a God who wants to condemn most of the planet to a fiery hell. What type of loving, sensitive, omnipresent, omnipotent being wants to condemn his beautiful creation to a fiery hell at the end of all this?”
Rodgers did not explicitly identify as an atheist. Many would regard him as a person who does not consider the existence of gods or god-like entities. His remarks appear to chorus the sentiments of a rising number of individuals.
