Even though he stepped away from the NFL earlier this year, Antonio Brown makes sure that he catches the headlines every single day. Well, this time, it is for theft and is currently being sued by a Florida-based music promoter. The former Buccaneers wideout had switched his career from pro football to rap and has been performing in various concerts across the country.

The latest reports came on Monday where the former Super Bowl champion was being sued by the Florida music Promoter Ryan Kane for tricking him out of $500,000 in the name of his dear friend and famous rapper Lil Wayne.

Kane filed the lawsuit at Sarasota County Circuit Court, accusing Brown of defamation and breach of contract per an exclusive artist agreement he signed back in July. This was one of his first dealings after entering the music world and creating a new journey for himself. But unfortunately, he supposedly ruined it with a maligned attitude.

The lawsuit claims that the veteran tricked the company for $178,000 by showing overestimated expenses and asking for reimbursement. Moreover, the recent one claims that he took money from Kane in the name of Lil Wayne.

He reportedly asked the promoter for $250,000, saying that Wayne wanted that much cash money. He agreed and handed the dollars. Suspicious Kane made a background check and asked Wayne if he wanted the money. He realized that he made no such requests, and Wayne only required $150,000 instead of $250,000.

Kane, who just started his company this year, became furious talking about the issue. “Now I know how the Raiders felt when they paid him [at least $1 million], and he never played a single game for them,” said Kane. “I gave him … a huge advance and an opportunity to make money legitimately, and all he did was walk off the field,” he added.

He had allegedly sold a fake Richard Mille watch for $160,000 on July 27 to Kane. Brown bought this watch along with a few others from Dubai. It happens to be a duplicate version of the brand. He claimed that Brown told him that the value of the watch is $400,000 but he sold him at a low price.
