Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown recently gave NFL fans an update regarding his playing career. The former Super Bowl-winning wideout has turned the light off over his potential return during a FCFL game. The controversial wideout was last seen in an NFL jersey during his infamous walk-off during the Jets-Buccaneers game in Week 17 last season.

During an FCFL game, Brown was talking on the camera, and while discussing his future, he states, “Obviously, we live the game, but you can’t play forever. I think I’m a great player that’s done everything in the game…Nah, don’t play yourself looking at me to play.”

It seems the reality has finally dawned upon the former Steelers WR. AB seems ready to move on to other things in life.

While Brown was looking for a last hurrah before hanging up his boots, his reputation usurps his abilities on the field. The open refusal for getting surgery on his injuries without a prior commitment from an NFL team seems to have been a ludicrous demand. A promising wideout, Brown and his association with the NFL might be over with an impromptu moment.

A premature end to Antonio Brown and his potential Hall of Fame career

The former Central Michigan wideout began his tenure in the league with the Steelers after becoming a 6th-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. After spending an eventful 9 seasons with the franchise, Brown left under troubling circumstances. Despite all his issues with the franchise, the 7-time Pro Bowler continues to hope for a return to Pittsburgh.

But his motivations seem to be retiring as a Steeler might be fading away, where it began for him in the NFL. The 4-time All-Pro wideout will be bowing out from the league competition after making 146 appearances. In his NFL career, AB ended up recording 928 receptions for 12,291 receiving yards and 83 TDs.
