Lamar Jackson-led Baltimore Ravens made their way to a 25-31 win over the struggling Indianapolis Colts on Monday night. This was their 4th win of the season. The Ravens now sit at the summit of the AFC North division with a 4-1 record.
They are now in prime position to make a third consecutive appearance in the NFL playoffs. But another talking point from last night’s game was the performance of superstar tight end Mark Andrews. The 26-year old Ravens’ frontman put up career-best numbers as the Colts were swept away.
But he later revealed that he wasn’t playing for himself on Monday night, he was doing it in honour of his late grandmother.

“My grandma passed this week and I wanted to play for her. I was sad I wasn’t able to be there for her, but she means a lot to me. Growing up, she lived like a block away. I’d ride to her house, and all of our family is praying for her. I was glad I was able to play for her. She’s the biggest Ravens fan ever. She looked up every article y’all have ever written. I know she’s looking down on me watching, and I’m extremely blessed to have had her in my life.”

“I think we’re growing, we’re getting better, we’re getting more mature. All of those things that happen over the years. We have that connection. We’ve always had it, but when you have guys all around you that are making plays, it’s hard to stop that,” Andrews said via the team’s official website.
