The rumor mill has been rife with speculation surrounding the future of Ben Roethlisberger with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The quarterback on the wrong-side of 30 showed signs of age finally catching up to him over the course of the 2020 season.
Starting off the season with a perfect 11-0 record, the Steelers quickly collapsed once teams figured out their short pass game. Their lack of a running game meant that more pressure fell on Roethlisberger to make the big plays.
Something that ultimately ended up being too much to handle for Big Ben as the Steelers crashed out in the Wild Card Round of the NFL Playoffs.

Since then, many felt that Roethlisberger had played his last snap for the franchise that drafted him back in 2004. But going by recent developments, Ben Roethlisberger is set to stay under center in Pittsburgh for 2021.
Ben Roethlisberger set to stay with the Steelers
According to NFL reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala, Roethlisberger’s agent, Ryan Tollner, claimed that the quarterback is set to stay with the franchise for at least one more season after having held positive talks with the owner, Art Rooney II.
“They want Ben back and will contact me soon to address his cap situation,” agent Ryan Tollner said. Tollner also said that Ben Roethlisberger’s contract would soon be adjusted to ease the cap hit for the Steelers.
