Furthermore, the Packers management seems to have already announced their faith in younger talent should Aaron Rodgers decide to leave.

The GM, Brian Gutenkist showed his support for Rodgers’ time to make decisions. Furthermore, he tried to pinpoint what the QB would do based on his past decisions. Gutenkist also spoke about the options the Green Bay Packers have if Rodgers decides to leave.

The Packers GM spoke about the contract the Packers had entered into with Rodgers. He then revealed the true attitude of the Packers’ management regarding their quarterback situation. Gutenkist spoke about the big $150 million deal that Rodgers and the Packers had entered into last summer. Therefore, with such a big contract on the line, the Packers’ management is reportedly giving Rodgers to think about his future. He mentioned the amount of respect he has always had for Rodgers, per Marca. He also said, “I really respect the process he goes through after the season. He’s done this for a long time.”

For now, it seems like the GM and Packers management are supportive of the time Rodgers is taking. Furthermore, the Packers also have young buck Jordan Love on their roster. The GM mentioned that while Love has not played a full season, the youngster’s growth makes him believe that Love is ready for the challenge. The GM stated that it would be natural for Love to take over. He referenced the past and said, “It’s no different from when we moved from Brett to Aaron, right?” The GM made the comparison to when Aaron Rodgers took over the reins from Brett Favre. Furthermore, it seems like Gutenkist is not the only one who thinks Love is ready.

There have been other opinions that have agreed with the fact that Love can replace Rodgers. The young QB’s performance when Rodgers was injured was a clear indication that the youngster has the talent to win games. After his stellar performance, even a few Super Bowl champions were openly claiming that Love should start games and that the Packers will do well even without Rodgers.
