“Cam Newton stinks” – Former NFL Man Reveals Hate Messages Directed To Patriots Quarterback

Cam Newton arrived in Boston to a mixed reaction from New England Patriots fans. Five years ago, Newton was one of the most feared quarterbacks in the NFL. He even won the 2015 NFL MVP Award with some dazzling displays over the course of the season. But fast forward to 2020 and Newton is not the same man.
His last season with Carolina Panthers saw him feature in just six games due to foot and shoulder injuries. However, reputed NFL head coach Bill Belichick took a gamble. The Patriots signed Newton to a one-year deal. Before he arrived, coach Belichick had said that Newton would have to earn the starting spot on the roster.
But recent rumors from within the league, claim that Cam is now the in-house starter ahead of Jarett Stidham and Brian Hoyer.

Popular sports podcast host and former NFL star, Pat McAfee, was the latest NFL personality to weigh in on Cam Newton’s anointment as New England’s first-choice quarterback.

“There were a lot of voices in the New England area that were like Cam Newton’s not going to fit in here. Then there were people around the league that were like ‘Oh, he’s washed up’. I remember when I started talking about Cam Newton’s workout videos and I was talking about Cam Newton looking better than he’s ever looked. Cam Newton having a chip on his shoulder..I got people telling me ‘Cam Newton stinks’,” McAfee said on the show.
