The Falcons coach has made a statement regarding the injury and said, “We’ll see where he is on Wednesday. So we’ve got time. We’ll see where it is and go from there.” The management has made it clear that until the IR is released, they will be going day to day. There were some experts who voiced their opinion of Fields’ injury.

Opinions about the injury

David Chao is an ex-NFL doctor, and he spoke about what the injury possibly could be. He is one of the leading experts in analyzing game film and diagnosis through film. He provided valuable insight into what the quarterback’s injury might be. Chao mentions that the injury he has most likely suffered is an AC joint sprain.

The doctor said that this is an injury that often takes about 4-6 weeks to heal fully. He also mentioned that there shouldn’t be any problem with his playing ability. Chao’s judgment was also influenced because of the fact that his injury is on his non-throwing arm. Knowing the quarterback’s past behavior, it is likely that he will be trying his hardest to go and play. The question is, will the quarterback be able to play, come the Falcons’ next day against New York?
