Colin Kaepernick has recently released a new book. Only this time, his book is a graphic novel, based on how younger days. His graphic novel is meant to provide children, from transracial households, with an affirming story. Furthermore, his novel showcases the complicated nuances of being raised by his adoptive white parents. The QB has always faced a lot of flak for comments he made about his parents. However, as he spoke about them on Twitter, he remained undeterred as he explained the facets of being raised by them.

His conversation with Eve Ewing went viral on Twitter as he discussed the graphic novel and its depictions of his life.

Interestingly, his words that came added some nuances to his earlier words. Kaepernick has previously spoken about the issues he faced with his parents as he was growing up. At the time, the statement had seemed like a very controversial revelation.

He spoke about the depiction and said, “I think it was important to show that, no, this can happen in your home, and how you move forward collectively while addressing the racism that is being perpetuated.” After the release of his most recent graphic novel, came an extension of his controversial opinions.
