The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on a low as they head into their 9th game of the season. Having lost 5 already, the Bucs are struggling to make their claim on a playoff berth. And with the recent struggles plaguing their star man Tom Brady, it will be a miracle if they don’t crash and burn against the Los Angeles Rams next week. But it seems the importance the media gives this fixture does not faze head coach Todd Bowles.

Speaking at the weekly press conference, Bowles talked about his and his players’ mindset as they set to face the Rams on Monday. When asked if their loss to the Rams in the January playoff game is a motivating factor, he outright dismisses it. “I think we have [had] a bad taste in our mouth the last three weeks. We don’t have time to worry about the bad taste [from] the Rams. We’re trying to win a ballgame — that’s all we’re worried about.”

The HC also spoke about his team struggling against the Rams in the recent past. He says, “I think they executed better than us down the stretch. I think they executed certain situational football things better than we did at the time we played them. Hopefully, we’ll get better at that when we play them this time.”

Bowles believes every game is critical and places no special importance on this particular fixture. “They’re all critical. They’re all critical. We lost three in a row — you’ve got to get the next one in to feel better about yourself.”

And about Rams‘ head coach Sean McVay, he says, “He’s the head coach, it’s his offense. They have a very good offense. He has a very good scheme that he runs. He’s a very intelligent guy… It makes it tough to play when you have a signal caller that tries to keep you off balance all the time.”

The Buccaneers started this season as one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl. And now, it will be a huge affair if they even manage to win their division. And most analysts and fans attribute this dismal performance to just one man: Tom Brady. His season started in turmoil when his decision to return from retirement was met with stern opposition from his wife, Gisele Bündchen. As weeks passed by, the situation only became worse, and reached a breaking point.

Post their defeat to the Baltimore Ravens, Bündchen and Brady announced their divorce. The strenuous period that many believe is the cause for the dip in Brady’s performance is over. Although reports indicate Brady is sad about the entire outcome, one cannot help but predict what this might mean for his future in the NFL. Only time will tell how this story ends for Brady.
