DeVonta Smith Believes He Can Continue His Relationship With Jalen Smith in Philadelphia

DeVonta Smith was one of the biggest steals in the draft. Smith was expected to be a Top-10 draft pick. But surprisingly, the Philadelphia Eagles moved up in the draft to get him at #10 pick that originally belonged to Dallas.
It was a shrewd move by Philadelphia, who brought in the Heisman Trophy winner to strengthen their front line. Furthermore, he gets to reunite with Jalen Hurts, who was his teammate in Alabama.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith spoke to the press today as part of a franchise interaction. A reporter asked Smith about his connection with Jalen Hurts.

He noted that no one is worried about Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Waddle reuniting in Miami. Nor are they worried about Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase in Cincinnati Bengals.
Therefore, he has no concerns about the connection between Jalen Hurts and himself. Their chemistry will show itself in the field once again.

“I believe if you ask (Jalen) Waddle and Tua (Tagovailoa) or you ask Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr (Chase), they’re going to say it themselves. I mean, that’s what you’re supposed to say.
“You’re supposed to feel confident about that, but it’s just being confident. I believe me and Jalen, we will continue the connection that we have but that’s just the confidence.
“I mean, if you’re not confident in what you’re doing, then you’re in the wrong business.”
DeVonta Smith and Jalen Hurts ready to play again
Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith played together for two seasons together in Alabama. Their tenure together came to an end when Jalen Hurts decided to transfer to Oklahoma State.

So the duo did find some success together when they won a national championship together. But it has been a long time since they have played together. And there will be questions about their fit together, especially for Jalen Hurts.
