The world of the NFL is riddled with controversial players, both past and present and Antonio Brown remains to be one of the most popular ones. Time and again, he has made NFL headlines with the kind of statements he has made. Furthermore, at this point, fans aren’t even surprised by his shenanigans. However, behind the incomprehensible exterior, it seems like the proud ex-wide receiver has absolute respect for one particular NFL legend. Interestingly, the legend AB looks up to is considered controversial as well.

One of the players that Brown looks up to is none other than Coach Prime a.k.a Deion Sanders. In the past, AB has praised the ex-Dallas Cowboys player and he has gone on to do it again. Despite his many problems with the league, the ex-WR spoke very highly of Sanders.

The reverence Antonio Brown has for Coach Prime

While AB was on the ‘Million Dollaz Worth of Game’ podcast, he spoke about the admiration he has for Sanders. While the media is used to hearing a lot of negative statements from AB, he surprised everyone. He went on to speak about the kind of inspiration Sanders provided him with his actions as a player.

Brown mentioned how Sanders was an inspirational player. Furthermore, he went on to say that Sanders was a class apart from other players in the league. Brown accentuated this point and said, “I don’t think you see any more defensive players that play the skill position the way he played and taking guys out and shutting them down bringing that swagger that energy.”

AB’s love for Deion Sanders

The ex-wide receiver has been public about his love for Sanders before. While Coach Prime was still at Jackson State, he had gone on to donate half of his salary to the university’s football facilities. When this news went viral, AB himself took to Twitter to talk about the kind of love he had for Prime.

Notably, the two have shared a bond even before that. Sanders was one of the reasons Brown was able to come back in 2020 to win a ring with the Buccaneers. With the kind of love the two seem to share, Brown’s admiration for Sanders isn’t a surprise.
