NFL legend, Brandon Marshall, recently appeared on the ‘I AM ATHLETE’ podcast. While he was on the podcast, he revealed an extremely controversial opinion. He mentioned his true thoughts about Hurts. He claimed that Hurts is a top 2 quarterback in the league as of now. Marshall claimed that his take came from the view that winning is how the greatness of a quarterback is measured. In an incredibly questionable take, he boldly stated that Hurts is better than Rodgers as A-Rod might have underachieved.

Furthermore, he also went on to compare Hurts to a lot of other quarterbacks that have been considered distinguished due to their contributions. Additionally, he said, “The only quarterback better than Jalen Hurts right now is Patrick Mahomes. That’s it. Add Joe Burrow. Add Lamar Jackson. Add Russell Wilson. Add Justin Herbert.” Marshall’s controversial opinion involved the name-dropping of a lot of different stars of the league. So naturally, his opinion garnered a lot of attention from fans.

While the fans might have overreacted, their comments were warranted. With the kind of excellence the other players have shown, it is a little unfair to rank Hurts over them just for his play in the Super Bowl.
