Former Indianapolis Colts Kicker turned podcaster and sports analyst Pat McAfee in his podcast ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ welcomed the former Baltimore Ravens returner Steve Smith Sr. to the show. Steve shared his interesting anecdotes during his time as a professional footballer which seemed interesting but also controversial in a way.

At first, Steve was seen talking about how he held a grudge against one of his old friends, a linebacker who went to Jacksonville at the time he was with the Ravens. So in a matchup between them, Smith said something “super inappropriate” which broke the linebacker’s heart.

The exchange between Pat McAfee and Steve Smith

Steve Smith Sr: Even I talked to Justin about it. We talk and we used to laugh at ‘like ohh I’m the most accurate’. I say ‘Justin do you understand if a guy like me doesn’t set that catchup, you don’t have a job!’

Pat McAfee: Everybody understands that.

Steve Smith Sr: Like I know you kicked a 64 yarder. But somebody had to get 40 yards prior to the 64. But when he hit that 64 yarder. I sent him a text and say ‘Bro you’re the best I hate to admit it.’ — Now I go out of my way to make sure people understand one that I respect them respect their game but also two I’m also not gonna say that everybody is great. Not everybody is good on the football team.
