Former Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo Gives An Honest Admission on Troy Aikman’s Lucrative ESPN Deal Worth $92.5 Million

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is doing an excellent job in the broadcasting space. He is associated with CBS Sports and has molded well in his new role. Another former Cowboys quarterback that is doing well in broadcasting is Troy Aikman.
Recently, Aikman signed a deal worth around $92.5 million with ESPN. It is one of the most lucrative deals in the industry, and Tony Romo was asked about it. Romo didn’t shy away from saying what he felt, and he was fairly happy for Aikman.

Talking about the deal, Tony Romo said, “I think everyone in the industry supports each other,” He added, “I mean for us, any time somebody makes money, it’s a good thing. It’s like players: everyone thinks they’re going to be upset, it’s like, well, when somebody makes more money, that’s helping out everybody else. And so, I think it’s well-deserved.”

As seen above, Tony Romo never shies away from complimenting a person that is doing well. Romo also talked about the quarterback that succeeded him at the Dallas Cowboys. He has complete faith in Dak Prescott.

Romo believes Dak Prescott has done pretty well with the Cowboys so far. He expects the Cowboys’ QB1 to have a great season in the upcoming campaign.

Talking about Prescott, Romo said, “I think Dak Prescott is going to have a fantastic year. I think he’s shown he’s more than capable of playing great football consistently throughout a year. I just think it’s gonna be a little different, because the weapons won’t be quite as dynamic. They’ll still be very good, but I do think that you’ll see teams play them just a little bit differently.”

Dak Prescott would need to adjust to the players around him. The Cowboys lost Amari Cooper in the offseason. As a result, Prescott will be required to step up and help to elevate the game of CeeDee Lamb as well. Hopefully, Dak Prescott will be able to have a good season for the Cowboys.
